Our team, started by Sailesh S Radha, consists of seasoned professionals with varied backgrounds in finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, and machine learning - many of who burnished their credentials in international investing by architecting the modified Shiller’s PE for global equity allocation and being in the vanguard of creating global equity portfolios using single-country ETFs.

Sailesh S Radha
Founder & CEO
Sailesh S. Radha is the founder of Borealis Global Advisory and the pioneer of the Medium-Term Country Yield Forecast (CY-M), a sophisticated yield measure developed from a modified application of Shiller’s PE in international settings. He independently authored “A Prognostic Yield Measure for Country Selection in the Medium-Term” and “Using Shiller’s PE Using CAPE to Forecast Country Returns for Designing an International Country Rotation Portfolio”, which were published in the Journal of Index Investing and Journal of Portfolio Management, respectively. A key player during the European debt crises, Sailesh worked with Yardeni Research Inc. to develop advanced analytics, tools, and erudition to evaluate the government balance sheets of the enormously debt-ridden Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, and Spain that were on the brink of default bringing into prominence the GIIPS countries.
Jack Heller
Data Scientist, Head of Factor Data Engine and Machine Learning
Jack Heller is an experienced data scientist with specialties in machine learning and big data platforms. He is skilled with Python, Java, R, SAS, SQL, and various AWS products. He has proven expertise in data analysis and gleaning insights using both statistical and machine learning techniques with applications in economic modeling, anomaly detection, and regression in graph neural networks. He graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Statistics and Data Science at KU Leuven in Belgium.
Eric Cheng
Software Engineer, Head of Dashboard Environment and Natural Language Processing
Eric Cheng graduated from New York University (NYU) in 2020 with two Bachelors, one in Mathematics and another in Computer Science. During his time at NYU, he engaged in a variety of courses ranging from the mathematical in number theory and differential equations, to the technical in parallel computing and machine learning. He has successfully applied many of these concepts to his time at Borealis and hopes to further his education in the future.

Buddy Aiken
CFO
Bud Aiken, CFO, brings with him to Borealis years of invaluable experience across multiple industries. From coatings to chemicals and textiles, there isn't much Bud hasn't seen. Furthermore, Bud has experience consulting with multiple startups in addition to serving as fractional CFO. These startups include drones, marketing, and healthcare technology.
Prior to his industry experience, Bud received his Masters in International Business Studies from University of South Carolina and graduated cum laude from Davidson College.
Dr. Adam Zaremba
Advisor on Country Selection Research
Adam Zaremba is an Associate Professor at the Montpellier Business School in France. He previously served as Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Dubai in the UAE and at Poznan University of Economics and Business in Poland. His research interests include asset pricing, investments, and financial markets. He graduated from the Poznan University of Economics and Business and has researched, trained, and lectured at numerous prestigious institutions around the world. He has also worked in the business world as an economist, adviser, and portfolio manager for various investment management companies. Adam has written a myriad of research papers and several books on financial markets.
Dr. Dirk Brown
Advisor on Corporate/Business Development
Dirk Brown is the faculty director of the University of South Carolina's McNair Institute for Entrepreneurism and Free Enterprise and a clinical assistant professor of international business at the Darla Moore School of Business. Brown is a seasoned executive with a strong track record of developing, marketing and licensing disruptive proprietary technologies. He is the founding CEO of Pandoodle Corporation, a digital media technology company with offices in California, New York, and South Carolina. Previously, he was CEO of Neoconix, a venture capital-funded electronics technology company serving Fortune 100 customers with worldwide sales and manufacturing.
Dr. Debabrata Sahoo
Advisor on Machine Learning
Dr. Debabrata Sahoo is an associate professor at Clemson University, where his research interests include Big Data. He received his PhD from Texas A&M University in 2008.
